Safety categories
- F1
- Very low hazard, low noise. Novelty items; follow the age on the packaging.
- F2
- Low hazard, for outdoor use in confined areas. Adults 18+.
- F3
- Medium hazard, for outdoor use in large open areas. Adults 21+ (subject to local law).
- T1
- Theatrical pyrotechnic articles with low hazard. Adults 18+.
- P1
- Other pyrotechnic articles with low hazard, e.g. smoke and sound generators. Adults 18+.
Legal awareness
- Always read and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
- Respect local regulations, permitted dates and times.
- Age thresholds and permitted products can differ between jurisdictions.
- Transport, sale and use periods may be restricted locally.
- If in doubt, check the official guidance where you live before buying or using fireworks.
